They can also be very economical. Unlike nebulizing diffusers, which may need at least a tablespoon or more of oil to work properly, candle diffusers need only a few drops of oil in their well. Additionally, they tend to be more portable; no plug in is needed.
Because they produce heat, candle-powered diffusers are best used with heat-stable oils like the mint oils, cinnamon or clove. Although they can be used with any other oil for a short time, the heat produced by the candle will eventually cause delicate oils like lavender, jasmine rose to mutate.
